Alisa Dickinson

Born on the 24th of June during the month of Cancer, I was just another child born with the eyes of acute perception and admiration for the natural beauty of Mother Nature.

During the summer of my 5th grade year, I was reluctantly
tolled along with "the parents" and, with no other choice given, accepted their plan to move into a small town area called Leavenworth. Although I had the silent objection of a moody
little child to this sudden transformation from a city life,
I think now the change in my surroundings at an early
age has contributed much to my artistic sense and
abilities. I have always doodled giraffes and other
childhood idiosyncrasies since I was capable of
holding a crayon, but it was an especially great
way to expand and nourish my artistry in a
spacious and beautiful environment.

My interests are to design flyers, promotion posters, CD and DVD art covers for music bands or films makers; magazine layout and creation working in a marketing firm; and corporate design dealing with logos, product packaging, and branding. Years later, I would like to become an independent designer running my own business.

ART is what makes me who I am today and without it I would find this world cavernously empty and left without meaning. I will be attending Cornish College of the Arts beginning Fall 2007.
